Airports and transfers

  • Tivat (TIV), Montenegro — about 30 minutes by car. The most convenient option if available.
  • Dubrovnik (DBV), Croatia — about 1 h 30 by car, depending on border crossing times.
  • Podgorica (PGD), Montenegro — about 2 hours by car.

Most hotels provide private transfers on request. Licensed taxis are available at all three airports; prices are indicative and should be confirmed with the provider when booking.

  • From Tivat: Halo Taxi provides transfers to Portonovi for approximately €20.
  • From Podgorica: Zeta Taxi provides transfers to Portonovi for approximately €140 per vehicle; around €120 may be available for multiple transfers arranged in advance.
  • From Dubrovnik: because of the international border crossing, arrange a private car transfer through your hotel or another provider. Travel time varies with border traffic.

Participants book and pay for their own transfers. Arrange them in advance, particularly for arrivals at Podgorica and Dubrovnik.

Getting around

The venue is about 3 km from Herceg Novi and 1.6 km from Kumbor; hotels in both are a short drive or a walk along the coastal promenade. Hotels on the Tivat and Kotor side of the bay are reached around the bay or via the Kamenari–Lepetane ferry, which runs every 15 minutes and saves roughly 25 minutes. The coastal road is single-lane in places and traffic builds up around Herceg Novi and the ferry in the morning, so allow extra time.

Use only licensed taxis or hotel-arranged transfers; taxis are widely available in Herceg Novi and can be ordered through hotel reception. Parking is available at One&Only Portonovi for participants arriving by car; please indicate this when registering so that access can be arranged. Participants cover their own local transport; the AIM Secretariat does not arrange it.

Timing

Participants are advised to arrive on Monday, 19 October 2026, the evening before the official opening. The conference concludes by lunchtime on Wednesday, 21 October 2026; plan departures accordingly.
